One Size. The bag body measures approx. 13 3/8 × 15 3/4 in (34 × 40 cm), width × height, excluding the ruffle and handles. The visible ruffle width is approx. 3 1/8 in (8 cm).
The finished handles are approx. 1 3/16 in (3 cm) wide. A patch pocket and a zipper pocket sit inside; the top closes with a magnetic snap or other snap.
Measurements are nominal dimensions from the pattern. Fabric, quilting, and pressing affect the finished result.
Sewing skills: Basic straight-stitch sewing and backstitching are required. The project includes quilting, a turned zipper window, and evenly distributed gathers. A serger is not required.
FIORE is a digital sewing pattern. No finished bag or printed pattern will be shipped.
Choose a suitable woven main fabric and coordinating lining. Very heavy fabric and hardware increase the bag’s weight. Test the main fabric, interfacing, and batting together on a scrap first.

Allow extra for shrinkage, large motifs, nap, and pattern matching. Yardage is rounded up to the next eighth yard. The interfacing quantity includes optional full handle interfacing. Local reinforcement at the handle attachments and closure is still required.
A sewing machine, zipper foot, and the installation tools specified for the chosen closure are required. A walking foot may help with quilting.
Choose the file for A4, US Letter, A0, US Copyshop, or projector use. Print at actual size, 100% — do not fit to the page.
Print and measure the control square for the chosen format before printing the full pattern.
Open the PDF locally in Adobe Acrobat Reader on a computer. In the Layers panel, show either English or Deutsch and keep “With Seam Allowance / Mit Nahtzugabe” on. FIORE comes in one size, with seam allowances included only.
